Honeywell, the world’s largest turbo manufacturer, is helping Ford find a “replacement for displacement.” As the industry leader in developing advancements in turbo technology, Honeywell has been selected by Ford to develop turbochargers for its first introduction of EcoBoost technology on next year’s 2010 Lincoln MKS. Eco-Driving Tips from Ford
With skyrocketing gas prices in full swing, we are looking for ways to save at the gas pump. Ford has some quick tips for both good and bad drivers, suggesting changes to our driving behavior to save the world and our wallet.
All those speedy fools out there listen up, fuel-efficiency experts agree that learning to drive differently can increase fuel efficiency. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, aggressive driving behaviors such as rapid acceleration, speeding and braking can lower gas mileage significantly. Ferrari is Going Green

Ferrari announced a future goal at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show that they would produce sports cars with emission reduction of 40% by 2012. Apparently, even rich people demand hybrid joy ride from the wild pony. The photo showed above is an ethanol-fueled F430 prototype has extra 10bhp and 5% less emissions comparing to the current model. The dream sports car is slower going green. Volkswagen’s Vision of Future Cars in 2028
The future is promising. VW seems to be going toward the right direction, although 20 years is a long time to wait. Perhaps, we will have different expectations by then. Let your imagination runs wild. Some people might even want a toilet in their car, then the waste could be turned into fuels. The future cars could be mostly made by biodegradable parts, some cars could even clean the air while you drive, and so on. You get the idea.

62.8 Miles a Gallon From a Diesel Honda

Step aside Toyota Prius! Introducing a Honda Accord that runs on diesel. Engineers from Honda are working on bringing this baby out in the market within 2 years or shorter. Based on road tests, this car can get 62.8 miles a gallon on the highway with plenty of power to spare, yet a new Toyota Prius is running at about 45 miles per gallon. (EPA rating methods) If you want to go further, by fueling it with biodiesel like vegetable oil or animal fat, it would be even more environmentally friendly. Awesome, I want one now!
