As it turns out, the pen really is mightier than the sword. And the machete. And the bulldozer, or whatever else they’re using to demolish Earth’s endangered rain forests. Or, at least one pen is: the new Bamboo Tornado(TM) by Retro 51.

Following extensive analysis, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Stephen L. Johnson, on August 7, 2008, announced his decision to deny a request submitted by the State of Texas to reduce the nationwide Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS). As a result, the required total volume of renewable fuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, mandated by law to be blended into the fuel supply will remain at 9 billion gallons in 2008 and 11.1 billion gallons in 2009. Study Shows One-Third of Car Shoppers Prefer Fuel-Efficient Cars
According to the latest Kelley Blue Book Marketing Research studies conducted on the company’s top-rated Web site http://www.kbb.com, the vast majority (nearly 90%) of car shoppers say they are concerned about the future of our environment. Among the survey respondents, 80% believe that individuals should make lifestyle changes in order to reduce CO2 emissions. Furthermore, 75% of shoppers say they have made changes to further the betterment of the environment, with the top lifestyle changes mentioned being recycling (54%), cutting back on driving (46%) and purchasing a fuel-efficient car (31%).
