Honeywell, the world’s largest turbo manufacturer, is helping Ford find a “replacement for displacement.” As the industry leader in developing advancements in turbo technology, Honeywell has been selected by Ford to develop turbochargers for its first introduction of EcoBoost technology on next year’s 2010 Lincoln MKS. Ferrari is Going Green
Ferrari announced a future goal at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show that they would produce sports cars with emission reduction of 40% by 2012. Apparently, even rich people demand hybrid joy ride from the wild pony. The photo showed above is an ethanol-fueled F430 prototype has extra 10bhp and 5% less emissions comparing to the current model. The dream sports car is slower going green. Intensify Sunlight by a Factor of 1,000
A team led by MIT students successfully developed a prototype of solar power system which may be the most cost-efficient on the face the earth. The 12-foot-wide dish, made from a lightweight frame of inexpensive aluminum tubing and strips of mirror, concentrates sunlight by a factor of 1,000, producing heat so intense it could melt metal.

New Wind Turbine Produces Low-Cost Energy
Renewable energy from the wind, which previously could only be generated in restricted geographic locations to achieve reasonable result– typically off-shore or in remote rural areas – can now be made available almost anywhere, including urban environments.
The AeroCam, developed by BroadStar Wind Systems, was designed and patented for commercial applications. With its parallel rotor blades, not only does it look radically different from conventional propeller designs, but also can be manufactured, transported, installed and maintained at lower cost. The future is promising. VW seems to be going toward the right direction, although 20 years is a long time to wait. Perhaps, we will have different expectations by then.
