The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) welcomes 51 new partners as Climate Leaders, breaking the 200 mark. In addition, eight companies took the next step in the partnership by announcing new greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions goals. Together, EPA’s Climate Leaders represent more than ten percent of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product and have pledged to prevent estimated GHG emissions equivalent to nine million cars annually. With skyrocketing gas prices in full swing, we are looking for ways to save at the gas pump. Ford has some quick tips for both good and bad drivers, suggesting changes to our driving behavior to save the world and our wallet.

According to the U.S. Department of Energy, aggressive driving behaviors such as rapid acceleration, speeding and braking can lower gas mileage significantly. It’s great to see more environmental messages across different TV networks recently. Although the Animal Planet network has always been eco-friendly in its programming, the following video is one of the few was done with animated animals to promote the positive message. Nicely done in the most part. Animation is a great educational tool for children, and it could be useful for some adults as well. But the water bottles?!? Watch it and you’ll see what I mean.
