We Might Actually Appreciate Bird Droppings One Day
Ken on July 5th, 2008
There are about 10,000 species of birds known to us today. Since 1500, over 140 species of birds have become extinct, and roughly 1200 are considered to be under threat of extinction. The condition seems to be accelerating in an alarming rate! It’s unclear how many cases of extinction caused by human activities directly or indirectly. When our sky was free of birds and the trees were clear of nests, some of us might actually learn to love the bird droppings.
The following photos including 3 extinct birds, and other beautiful birds that are still in existent today. Click the images to see bigger photos.
